Dr. Liwei Liu is an assistant professor rank research fellow in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST), Taiwan. Dr. Liu received his Ph.D. degree from NPUST in 2021; the title of his dissertation is "Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) Based Crop Growth Environment Monitoring System Development - A Demonstration of Development and Integration on Rice Growth Rate Modeling, Rice Blast Occurrence Forecasting, and Field Capacity Simulation". His expertise includes hydrology, precision agriculture, remote sensing, and sustainable rice production. He was funded by Taiwan's government as a visiting scholar at Texas A&M University for smart rice production research. One of his research was reported and can be found in the U.S. National Science Foundation (link, the research paper can be found here).

Dr. Liwei Liu is an assistant professor rank research fellow in National Pingtung University of Science and Technology, Taiwan. His research primarily focuses on the development of Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) based systems for monitoring crop growth environments. His work integrates areas such as water resources management, hydrology, precision agriculture, remote sensing, and water-saving irrigation techniques, especially in sustainable rice production.
